To have or have not
Which is the nobler of the two?
Should one forsake one pinnacle for another
And let fortitude win through?
When faced with choice or gain
Should we pick the loss of little pain
Or that which provides such rich reward
And bloated may our egos be?
Is profit to be the substance of our content?
Is winning all about the prize or
To run and onwards race
And resilience be our just reward?
Oh such choice, what a paradox.
Would that I were clairvoyant
And life’s outcome see.
